A white sweatshirt is required to make a tie-dye hoodie.

For this, we like Gildan or basic Hanes brands. High cotton content is a must as it absorbs dye better than other fibers. The Tulip line of tie dye products is my favorite. These kits are easy to use, and come with all the mcm backpack necessary tools, including rubber bands and disposable gloves.

These racks allowed me to complete the dyeing process in my kitchen sink. These racks keep your item dyed elevated so it doesn’t get bled over to other colors. This is what I will be discussing later.

Great if you have stackable racks that can lift your project up to an inch above the surface. These Wilton racks work great if you don’t have any.
